Nearly 30 members strong, the Lithgow Men’s Shed help to set up other Mens Sheds in the area and fix, make, create and help. Bendigo Community Bank supplied some funds to help them purchase a specialty router. The work that these people do is amazing. Every year they send boxes and boxes of toys to be distributed all over the world, they build items for people in need, helping out other not-for-profit and a multitude of community groups in our region. All the Men’s Sheds in the region are filling a need in our community, not just in fixing and creating and offering their services but as a meeting place for men of all ages to talk and learn and share skills. Including cooking! They use their kitchen (also donated) to help men who may not be so confident in the cooking department to eat healthily and learn a few tips. And they do a great morning tea!
